Christmas pudding shoot

A big thank you to Sharon for organising yesterday’s Christmas pudding shoot. Twenty six archers plus supporters braved the cool conditions and some personal best scores were achieved. Sarah did a great job keeping us under control on her first occasion as field captain. Christmas puddings were duly awarded.

As is usual on these occasions there was also a fuddle table. Thanks to everyone who brought food, there was a great choice including some delicious home baking.

In keeping with the spirit of the shoot Christmas hats and jumpers were in abundance!

Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Great day at the National Series final

We had a great day running the Have a Go at the National Series final on Saturday at Wollaton Hall. Nearly 300 people came to see us and all had a good time. Our new flags are impressive and attracted many people up to the Hall.

Visitors included Rio Paralympic medal winner Jodie Grinham and Rio Olympian Patrick Huston who were encouraged to have a head to head match, which Jodie won.

Road closures near Wollaton Park 25th September

Don’t forget that the Robin Hood Marathon is on Sunday. There will be road closures around the Wollaton area between about 9.30 and 11.40.
